I'm not sure which email comes to you and which goes to your secretary. I wanted you to know Jen and I are moving to Tennessee. My daughter has graduated and is heading to college. My son is in his third year of college. We leave in two weeks. This ends sixteen years in Bucks County and marks eleven years since I walked into your office.
You once asked me if I liked being a pastor. I asked you in turn if you liked being a lawyer. We both gave reasons why we like our jobs. Your answer was that you got to help pastors be with their kids. You did. My son is doing great in life and we're experiencing that great transition from authority to friendship. My daughter has no clue what she is doing except that she is attending college and we are experiencing the transition where I back off and she spreads her wings. You will always be part of the story of our family. You gave me the opportunity to be dad.
I never really knew what you believed about the God thing, but I believe I have seen you on the side of the angels.
The moving truck leaves on the 15th. It has been a while since we talked and I didn't want to leave without saying goodbye. And thanks.Matt J.
